Trg slobode

"Trg slobode" (Serbian Cyrillic: "Трг слободе", lit. "Freedom Square") is a song performed by Nikola Urošević Gedža. "Trg slobode" became a proposed name when officials considered a name change for Trg republike by SPO leader Vuk Drašković, though this change was never carried out even when the party governed Belgrade in the late 90's.

Music and lyrics

The song commemorates SPO members who participated at the protests that took place at Trg republike on 9 March 1991. With the song being a reference to the protests, it makes note of the newer generation that took part in this event with the lyrics "Okuplja se Srbadije mlada".
