Background
In 1992, the band released their first war-related song "Stazama garde" which was featured in the compilation album Mom Brodu. It achieved great popularity and in response, the band collaborated with the Brod branch of the HVIDR to create an album that would raise funds for families of wounded and killed soldiers.[2]
Recording of the album took place in May 1993 at Studio MlinÄiÄ in Zagreb and sound processing would be done by Croatiaton. The majority of the songs would be written by Ivana GlavaÅ¡eviÄ. Zvonimir ÄosiÄ - Äosa is the main vocalist, though Predrag MatasoviÄ would be the main vocalist on two tracks.
The majority of the songs are patriotic in nature with some love songs. An adaptation of the A.G. Matoš poem, Gospa Marija is featured in the album as well as a reworked version of "Stazama garde".
