Miro Semberac (Serbian Cyrillic: Миро Семберац; Born March 4th, 1953) is a Bosnian Serb folk singer from Bijeljina. He is best known for his wartime music which included controversial lyrics against Bosniaks and their leaders, sometimes supporting ethnic cleansing outright in the lyrical content of his songs.

Early Life

Miro was born on the 4th of March in 1953, and graduated from Tehnička škola Mihajlo Pupin in the year 1966[1]. Miro grew up and still lives in Bijeljina.

Career

Miro began his music career in 1993 while serving in the Garda Panteri unit of the Vojska Republike Srpske. Beginning with the release of "Puče Puška Na Sred Semberije" under the well known SuperTon label in 1993. This was followed by the release of "Srbi Svoju Državu Stvoriše" that same year under SuperTon once again. These two albums concluded his wartime musical career and he would only go on to release one more album after the war in 1996 titled "Kako Da Te Sutra Zovem" under a label local to Bijeljina called Renome.

Personal Life

Miro continues to live in Bijeljina, and has an adult son and daughter[1]. It would appear he is also a grandfather. He appears to live a peaceful life today travelling around the Balkans. Miro has long retired from making music.
