Music and lyrics
The song was originally written by Mijat BožoviÄ and initially appeared in the 1988 Vinko Brnada self-titled album under the same name. Baja would rework the song, though would not make it war-related like "Za koga sam ratovao". This adaptation would instead be a small story of drinking with friends at a kafana rather than telling a story of going abroad and hooking up with someone else.
