==Background==
With the CD format becoming more and more accessible around the world and especially in the Balkans, a huge influx of unofficial CD compilations appeared. The format itself was not anything new, as unofficial compilations existed all throughout the 80s and 90s on cassette, yet due to the CD being able to hold more songs and being easier to burn, it quickly spread. Many pirated albums and compilations appeared on markets all around Yugoslavia and the Balkans and sold well, often even with songs by very popular artists. Pirated CD's were cheap and usually high quality, at a time when the economy was doing badly and sanctions on Yugoslavia still affected the distribution of original CD's. In conjunction with the rise of pirated CD's, filesharing also became popular on the internet during this time, which is also where a large majority of the audio of patriotic/war songs originated from. Sites such as [[Vucjak.com]] hosted large hubs full of audio files of patriotic music, which was free and easily accessible, just further pushing this way of piracy.
==Release==
''Patriotske pjesme 2'' released on CD sometime in the 2000s. While the cover is printed on higher quality paper, the actual design of it is very amateurish. It consists mostly of computer graphics, with a poorly cropped and photographed image of Baja pasted on the cover. The source of the image is not fully known, though it uses the same picture as the [[Đe si legendo|''Đe si legendo'']] album cover, so it can be assumed it is from that era. It could possibly have been sourced from promotional material or another unofficial release, as text is visible to the left of the pasted image. The back cover of the CD was printed on blue flyer paper and displays a generic track listing together with the name of the artist and the compilation. The CD itself is a CD-R and has a generic design with the name "W production" on it, as well as a sticker with the artists name and name of the compilation. The sticker was added below the plastic center of the CD. A printed code in the middle of the CD reveals that a CD by the brand "Princo" was used.
