Sometime after this he changed his stage name to 'Šćepa.' In 1994 he won the Slavianski Bazaar festival in Vitebsk, Belarus. In 1995 he recorded the cassette 'Šćepa'.

In 1997 he sang on the song [[Volimo te otadžbino naša]] with [[Leontina Vukomanović|Leontina]]. The song became very popular in Serbia in 1999 during the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia.
