Sometime in late 1993 SuperTon released two Baja albums simultaneously, ''Rat i mir'' and [[Kockar bez sreće|''Kockar bez sreće'']] with the former composed of patriotic songs and the latter composed of love songs. Following the release of the album, the song "[[Grešnik]]" would peak at no. 4 in the music charts in 1994.<ref>[https://web.archive.org/web/20230707204754/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OoQSog04ts Baja Mali Knindza - Gresnik]. It would still include songs to boost morale such as "[[Đedo]]" and "[[Jovo]]". The song "[[Dražo]]" originally appeared in the [[Boro Srbin]] album "[[Ja sam Srbin (Album)|Ja sam Srbin]]." Released prior to "Rat i mir", it was titled "Ustani čiča Dražo" and reused elements of the Baja song "Kad sam bio mali." "Dražo" would have a complete overhaul stylistically, though its lyrics would remain the same. The song "Đedo" would be covered by Lepi Mića in the 1994 album [[Gdje cvetaju božuri|''Gdje cvjetaju božuri'']] and would be renamed to "[[Stari četnik]]".

Shortly after in 1994, SuperTon would release a [[Rat i mir (VHS)|VHS of the same name]] which featured music videos for many of the songs in the album. The same year the [[RTVJ]] compilation [[Koktel srpskih pevača|''Koktel srpskih pevača'']] and would feature three songs from the album, "Grešnik", "Dražo" and "Jovo". Despite implications of an RTVJ release of ''Rat i mir,'' a copy has yet to surface''.''

In 2015, [[SuperTon]] would upload the album to YouTube and various other streaming platforms for the first time. It would be reuploaded along with other albums in their catalog and redistributed to streaming services in 2020.

In modern times, "[[Tata]]" would gain infamy on the internet as it was used for the meme "My dad is a war criminal". As a result, its original message changed from making fun of war propaganda to condoning the act of committing war crimes.

The original 1995 version of the song is about a man who must leave his homeland in Krajina. With only two suitcases to his name, he leaves to parts unknown. The 2001 version omits any and all references to the war to reflect the current time period. Instead of being about someone who is displaced as a result of the breakup of Yugoslavia, it is about someone who is displaced as a result of a breakup in a relationship.

This track is notable for its effects. It begins with a sample of the Reel 2 Real song "I Like To Move It" and ends with the sounds of gunshots and a woman breathing heavily. A vocal effect is applied to Neđo, which doubles his voice a major third in either direction. Parts of the song are also rapped rather than sung, similar to "[[Srbi supermeni]]". The motif used during the beginning of the song and transitions from chorus to the next verse is also heard in the [[Baja Mali Knindža]] song, "[[Pravoslavac]]". Both songs were arranged by this album's arranger, Goran Radinović.

The song tells the story of a Muslim fighter going over enemy lines to have an affair with a Serb soldier. Two iterations of ''Srpska zora'' exist with entirely different instrumentals and vocal takes. The cover of the first iteration showcases a medium close-up shot of Krunica edited on top of a greater version of the Serb coat of arms. Notably, the Grafosaund logo on the spine is also a much rougher variant only seen here and on its tape labels, as it consists of a hand drawn book and a half of the [[Jugodisk]] logo. The typography of the cassette is also uneven at times, in particular on the front cover. The back of the cover also contains blue text and for the first and only time music credits. The cassette itself also features the variant of the Grafosaund logo and slanted side indicators. The audio on the first iteration features music much different to Krunica's usual style, as its music is not as tight-knit and sometimes sounds like a demo. The poems on the album feature barebone instrumentals, mostly using sampled orchestras, choirs and on the last song Gedža's version of "[[Marš na Drinu]]" plays under Krunica's recital and sound effects. The songs themselves have much more traditional instrumentation but also use keyboards, which gives it a distinct sound not heard in other Krunica releases. The vocals on the album are also not perfect and include many voice cracks. All of these factors combined give the appearance that the album was either rushed, made under someone elses direction or simply Krunica experimenting with his sound. Ultimately he would rerecord the entire album, giving it a more typical Krunica sound akin to his other albums. The poems would feature original backing tracks and be more filled out and the songs would overall be more creative and have a polished and professional sound. Krunica would rerelease this updated album, first with the same cover design but then change it to a more hand drawn cover with an updated portrait at the bottom. The catalog number of this variant is unique though, as it is the only Grafosaund release not having "фи 5226" or a variant of it as the catalog number. This release would retain the same text on the back cover, but in black and white and remove the previous music credits, to replace it with a generic "Recorded in studio „AR-ton" Belgrade" like on other releases. The tape labels themselves are the same as the first issue. The third and most common variant combines both previous versions and features a large portrait of Krunica with a hand drawn Serb flag and artist name, but also the typography of the first issue. The back cover is the same as the second variant and the tape labels are also the same.

Yugoslav war cassettes are some of the rarest tapes in the world, due to their limited production, disposal after the war, and lack of search efforts globally. Some of these tapes take years to find, and if you've found one, you're going to want to take good care of it.

Analog media like cassettes, VHS and vinyls play video or music as a series of magnetic pulses, or grooves pressed into a disk, not as a data stream like FLAC, MP3 or on a CD. This means a '''lot more can go wrong''' during storage and playback, and it can lead to degradation of the tape's contents. Digital content '''rarely degrades''' and only really fails when the storage medium (Hard drive or SSD) is damaged or misconfigured. Usually a digital file will either work or not work.

In contrast, analog media will degrade in different, sometimes unexpected ways, i'''nstead of failing all together'''. This is a blessing and a curse, because where a good sound file will be perfect studio quality (if it works), a cassette tape will still play, but much work would need to be done in post production to improve quality. High frequencies will fade, songs will not always play back the same, players can chew and damage the tape (though this is rare), or the pitch could be completely off from what it should be.

Because of their rarity '''you must take proper care''' of a tape when you find it, because you don't want them degrading further. This article will provide a basic overview of what to do when you find a tape.

==Where was the tape stored?==
This is the most important (controllable) factor with analog media, second only to how the tape was '''recorded'''. If your tape was found in a good environment (and remained there for a long time prior), it will likely be in better shape, and you'll hopefully get better sound quality out of it.

As soon as you find the tape, look around and see if the environment it's in is suitable for tape storage. Here are some things to '''avoid'''.

*High '''humidity''' (This will cause the physical tape to degrade and shed).
*Temperature fluctuations, even from being in sunlight (This could potentially degrade the quality of the songs on the tape).
*Magnetic fields, even ones from some electronics (This could erase things from the tape all together).
*Crushing hazards and pressure (Because a broken tape is a nightmare).
*Liquids (It's like humidity but much worse).

High humidity is the most common cause of tape degradation and its effects are very hard to treat without proper equipment. '''Make sure''' that you store the tape in a dry environment, with a temperature around 20°C (68°F). Advanced storage techniques will be detailed in "[[Proper Storage]]".

== Inspecting the tape==
Observing where the tape was stored will only determine if the tape should be moved to a better storage location. Inspecting the tape can help get a general idea of how the tape might sound (and if it's worth [[digitizing]]).

Once you have the physical cassette in your hands, these are the things you want to look for:

=== Mold===

Moldy tapes will have a white texture on the tape inside the case, and is most noticeable when the tape is rewound all the way to one side. Alternatively, there may be larger spots of mold on the reel. You may also see the mold appear as a texture on the surface of the tape when it's wound over the cassette's pad.

In order to fully inspect the tape for mold, find a pencil and use it to rewind the tape by putting it through one of the reels. For rewound tapes, insert the pencil in the empty reel and rotate it so it begins dragging tape off the full reel and onto the empty reel. If the tape was paused in the middle, and there is tape on both reels, the one you turn doesn't matter. While doing this, look at each reel (or just the full reel) and make sure no spots of mold can be seen as the reels rotate. Check this on both sides of the cassette through its viewing window.

Moldy tapes are '''the worst case scenario''', as they cannot be played without the risk of contaminating other tapes. Mold itself does not deteriorate the tape, the mold growth will get on the tape and cause it to make improper contact with the head during playback. The result is a sputtery, low quality sound that leaves mold dust behind in the player. If your tape has mold '''do not attempt to play''' '''it''' and it should be safely stored '''away from other tapes.''' There are some methods of mold removal, some offered by extremely specialized businesses, but we don't have any examples of Yugoslav tapes going through this treatment.

Mold is caused by '''humidity''', and all tapes left in warm, moist environments will inevitably grow mold after enough time. While some mold will spin off the tape during fast forwarding and rewinding, it's '''not worth the damage''' that the mold can cause to your player or other tapes.

===Sticky Shed Syndrome (SSS)===

Sticky shed syndrome is another product of '''humidity''', but it's not always directly caused by humidity. Over time, the various [https://creativeaudioworks.com/audio-restoration/sticky-shed-syndrome/#:~:text=Sticky-shed%20syndrome%20is%20a,deterioration%20renders%20the%20tape%20unusable. binders] of the tape will decompose, causing the tape to begin '''absorbing moisture''' which makes the tape slightly sticky.

To check for sticky shed, put the tape in a player and fast-forward the tape until the end. After that, rewind the tape again until the beginning. When the tape is fully rewound, use a pencil to turn the full reel '''opposite''' to the the direction of playback. This will be the only way you can turn it, since the other reel is empty. Do this '''very carefully,''' as the tape can fold in on itself and cause creases. If the tape '''does not have sticky shed''', the tape should fall off the reel with no resistance. If the tape sticks to the reel and shows up in the viewing window like it's folded into a "teardrop" shape, it likely has sticky shed.

Sticky shed can also be discovered during playback. A sticky shed tape will have inconsistent "fluttery" pitch, or will emit a high pitched ringing noise from the player, along with some high frequency distortion on the song playing. Additional things to look for during playback are covered in [[digitizing]].

Sticky shed is another very bad thing that can happen to tapes. Technically there is no "cure" for sticky shed, but you can prevent the tape from ''absorbing moisture'' by leaving it in an air-tight container with [[silica gel]] packets, or by using a [[food dehydrator]] to dry the tape out.

===Shiny tape===

Finally, a positive thing you want to look for is shiny tape. Shiny tape indicates the tape hasn't been used much, and the tape will be in very good condition as a result.

Use a pencil to wind the tape so that a section of tape can be viewed over the pad. look at this section of tape under a light source. An ideal tape will have no distortions, wrinkles, or matte areas and should cleanly reflect the light.

While the tape might look good, the music may not have been recorded onto the tape very well, and won't be in good quality either way. This does not guarantee good quality, but it ''does'' guarantee smooth playback

== Digitizing and archiving ==
If there are no signs of sticky shed, and no signs of mold, the tape can be digitized. Digitization refers to the process of recording the tape as it's being played, so it can be copied into a digital format. Functionally the process is the same as recording sound from a microphone.

Depending on the tape and its quality, digitization may not be worth the effort, especially if the tape is common and high quality audio is available.

However, a common tape may still be interesting if it was produced under a different label, or if it was a reissue from another year. When the war began, she would co-write and be featured in the music video for the war song "[[Patriotska liga]]", an anthem for a Bosnian paramilitary unit. In wartime 1992 she released the album [[Uzalud behari mirišu]] under the [[Embex]] label, which would not feature any patriotic material. '''Sarajevo heroj grad''' (lit. Sarajevo Heroic City) is the only known war-themed album from singer [[Hanka Paldum]]. It was released in either 1993 or 1994 and has not gotten much disclosure since then. Uploads of the album get quickly removed from YouTube, and it has never received an official digital release.

After gathering material and writing patriotic songs over the course of the war, Hanka Paldum records her second wartime album and first war-themed album. It would be in cooperation with [[RTV BiH]] and published by the German-based [[Embex Produktion]].

== Release ==
Two versions of the cassette are known to exist. The first has blue letters on the cassette labels, while the second one has black letters.

Despite four copies of the blue letter variant having been found, not one of them has the title track "[[Sarajevo heroj grad (Song)|Sarajevo heroj grad]]" present on the tape. Instead, track two, [[Junak do junaka]] is moved to first on the tape, and the actual track two is a song with an unknown name.

The release seems to have been very hastily put together, as the back of the cover lacks detailed credits and the album cover image is taken from her 1990 album ''Vjetrovi tuge''

== Early life ==

Baja became interested in singing when his friend from Surčin invited him to a celebration he hosted. As part of the event, he was offered a microphone to sing. His performance would earn him a tip that was five times greater than his current salary, to which he said to himself, "Baja, you won't wake up early anymore".

Baja would soon perform in cities like Sarajevo at the restaurant "Holidej" in Čengić vila, which was owned by a cousin of [[Lepi Mića]], sharing the stage with artists like [[Ljubiša Vasiljević]].

In 1989, he contributed to writing the [[Tromeđa]] album [[Izvorne pjesme Dalmacije, Like i Krajine|''Izvorne pjesme Dalmacije, Like i Krajine'']], which included one of their biggest hits, "[[Nema raja bez rodnoga kraja]]". Later in the year, Baja tried to participate in the music competition "Prvi glas Livna", but was denied when the judges found out that Baja was a professional musician and the song, "[[Nema raja bez rodnoga kraja]]" was already on an album. ==== Ne dam Krajine and mainstream success (1992–1993) ====
When the breakup of Yugoslavia began, Baja's would make patriotic songs about the war. Baja set out to record these songs for an album, and after he gathered just enough money to begin production, he somehow lost it all on the way to the studio. Now in debt and in search of a record label, he eventually found [[Jugodisk]] after being rejected by [[PGP RTS]].

In 1992, he released his debut album ''[[Ne dam Krajine]]'', and upon release, it would catapult Baja into the mainstream. Thanks to its reception from the battlefield, Baja would start on his next album.

Production issues occurred when for unknown reasons, Jugodisk was unable to publish this new album. Around late August/early September 1993, Baja would release his album and appear in many interviews regarding [[Još se ništa ne zna|''Još se ništa ne zna'']]. Upon release, it became one of Baja's most popular albums and would be the start of his work with [[SuperTon]]. Baja would also release a VHS tape called ''[[Najveći hitovi (VHS)|Najveći hitovi]]'', which featured music videos for his more popular song. At the end of 1993, he would release two more albums, [[Rat i mir|''Rat i mir'']] and [[Kockar bez sreće|''Kockar bez sreće'']] with the former containing patriotic songs and the latter containing love songs that were inspired by older, non-war material similar to his work in the mid 80's. After working on side projects, Baja would depart SuperTon some time in 1997, moving to Lazarević Produktion where he released [[Ne dirajte njega|''Ne dirajte njega'']] in 1997. During the Serbian general elections in the same year, controversial politician Vojislav Šešelj to approached Baja, asking him to produce a cassette with songs dedicated to Šešelj's party, the Serbian Radical Party (abbreviated to SRS). In 1999, Baja went to Renome and released his last war-related album, [[Biti 'il ne biti|''Biti 'il ne biti'']]. Its contents focused on the [[Music during the Kosovo War|Kosovo War]] and subsequent NATO bombing campaign of Yugoslavia, which were ongoing at the time. Accompanied by [[Dragan Stojković Bosanac]], he also would release [[Gara iz Lončara / Život je tamo]] with the songs "[[Evo džepa, đe su pare bile]]" and "[[Duni vjetre malo preko jetre]]" being one of his most popular songs. Like ''[[Kockar bez sreće]]'', the album would feature no patriotic songs.

In 2000, Baja released [[Povratak u budućnost|''Povratak u budućnost'']], which featured another popular track, "[[Samo je moj stari znao]]". Baja would also return to Nina Trejd one last time and release [[Zaljubljen i mlad]] which featured reimagined versions of songs from ''Kockar bez sreć''e as well as some new material. Around this time, Renome's sublabel, [[Patriot]] would release the compilation ''[[Moje najljepše, one naše ?! Vaš Baja Mali]],'' but it's unknown if Baja had any involvement in its release.

In 2001, he released [[Đe si legendo]] which showed a change in musical direction for Baja. Rather than be solely folk, its songs would mix elements of rock and roll and pop, and no samples from the [[wikipedia:Roland_Sound_Canvas|Roland Sound Canvas]], which he used heavily in some of his most well known works. It would also feature a rock version of the song "[[Kuća časti]]" from a previous album Baja, ''Igraju se delije''. Renome would later release the compilation, ''Hitovi'', although it only contained Baja songs that were released by Renome themselves.

In 2002, he released [[Zbogom pameti|''Zbogom pameti'']], an album that reimagined some songs from ''Kockar bez sreće'', along with the songs "[[Ko je ljubio, taj ne ljubi više]]" and "[[Prošli su mi vozovi]]". Renome would release [[Baja Mali Knindža i prijatelji|''Baja Mali Knindža i prijatelji'']] which featured Baja and other folk artists who performed at [[Svijet Renomea]] the previous year.

In 2007, he released [[Gluvi barut|''Gluvi barut'']] which leaned more on the pop genre (common for the industry time of its release) and would be the last album published by Renome. Another compilation, ''[[Best of Baja Mali Knindža]]'' was also released. While Baja would occasionally return to Renome to help with songwriting, and would move to BN Music after 2008.

In 2014, Baja would work on an album for Narodni pokret Dinara Drina Dunav titled, [[Govor duše]]. It includes patriotic songs in the same vein as his work from the 90's and includes an updated version of the ''Još se ništa ne zna'' song, "[[Nisu suze za Srbina]]". Despite wishes to make another album, it is the last album Baja has released to date.

In 1994, Baja partnered with arranger Goran Radinović as Goki i Baja bend. The pair would go onto produce three albums: ''[[Braća sa Dinare (Album)|Braća sa Dinare]]'', ''Život damo Krajine ne damo'', and ''Samotnjak''. After Radinović's departure from SuperTon in 1995, it would be rebranded to Baja bend. Baja bend would produce two more albums: ''Seobe'' in 1995 and ''Svrati posle snegova'' in 1996. Since then, Baja bend has been inactive.

==== Braća sa Dinare ====
In 1994, Baja would form a group with his younger brother, Novak Pajčin as well as a friend, Luka Mihaljica. The group would be called Braća sa Dinare (lit. "Brothers from Dinara") and their [[Braća sa Dinare (Album)|debut album of the same]] name would release the same year. Baja would be heavily involved in the second album, ''[[Bila jednom jedna zemlja]]'' as all but one track only has Baja performing. While Baja's debut album was released in 1992, his start in the music industry would be in 1985 where he was primarily a lyricist at Jugodisk under the name "M. Pajčin Baja". His first songwriting credit would be on the [[Borislav Ličanin]] song "Oko mene lepe žene" from the album of the same name. He would also write the song "Jasna je meni donijela sreću" for the 1986 album ''A oj Liko zavičajna sliko'' and "Kad se slože ravnice i brda" for the 1987 album of the same name. The 1990 album, ''Sve što imam, to mi je u lici'' would be the first album to feature the song "Nemoj me lagati, mila", predating its appearance in ''[[Kockar bez sreće]]'' by three years. In 1989, Baja would contribute to one of Tromeđe's biggest hits, "Nema raja" as he was the primary lyricist for Tromeđa's ''[[Pjesme Dalmacije, Like i Krajine]]''. The song has since been covered by artists such as [[Bora Drljača]], [[Minđušari]], and [[Žare i Goci]]. In 1993, Baja began to add the "Knindža" to his moniker and wrote songs for artists in PGP RTS, the label that two years prior refused to publish his debut album. He would write the song "Rastanak" with the music being composed and performed by Rođa Raičević in ''Tako Je Suđeno''. It would also be covered by Cakana in the same year, although Baja would not be credited. He would also write the lyrics for "Đetić bez mane" for the 1993 Miloje Bubanja album, ''[[Život teče dalje]]''. He would also write and compose "Čujem da me tražiš" and "Dosta je bilo lutanja" for Jane Kačar's ''Smiluj se, Bože'', published by Produkcija "Južni Vetar". While at Nina Trejd, he would compose and produce Goran Krajišnik's debut album, ''Koridor slobode'' as well as contribute an early version of "Dražo" (titled "Ustani čiča Dražo") to the Boro Srbin album ''Ja sam Srbin''. At SuperTon, he wrote the song "Prvi put" for Nina Nikolić's ''[[Azbuka ljubavi]]''. Baja would also compose for Boban Zemunac's debut album, ''[[Ne daj se Srbijo moja]]'' and would feature an early version of "[[Neće biti granica na Drini]]". Its title track would use the tune of "Nemoj me lagati mila" and some elements in the instrumentals throughout the album would appear in later Baja albums albeit slightly altered.

While Baja only released one album in 1994, he would contribute to many albums that year. He would write the song "Princeza" for the album ''Maximalan'' by Srećko Ćosić (who would later guest star in Zbogom oružje and Plači voljena zemljo). He would write the song "Kapetan Dragan" for Bora Drljača on the album ''[[Nedam Krajine]]'' (whose title track is a cover of "[[Ne dam Krajine (song)|Ne dam Krajine]]") and "Pismo" for the Mile Delije album, ''[[Siromah bez rodnog kraja]],'' both released by Master Music (though the former was also released by [[Melos]]). He was the primary songwriter in the Gordan Krajišnik album, ''[[Život damo Krajine ne damo]]'' with the formerly live-only "Nikad više zajedno" having an official studio release. The song "Prsti sudbine" would appear again the next year in the Nina Kay album, ''Nisi Taj''. He would write for Rade Tešić's and Braća sa Dinare's debut albums both published by SuperTon.

In 1995, Baja wouldn't contribute as much as the previous year as he would write the lyrics to "Stara kalja a momak u duši" for the Bora Draljača album ''Nema raja bez svog zavičaja'' (whose title track is a cover of "Nema raja") and wrote the song "Nestao si kao dim" for the Simona album of the same name, both being published by PGP RTS. Baja would also be the primary songwriter for Gordan Krajišnik's ''Nema laži, nema prevare'' with a disco version of "Nema raja" (renamed to "Nema raja, bez rodnog kraja"). In 1996, Baja would contribute to six more albums from SuperTon: ''Svrati posle snegova'' with Obrad Vukovljak, ''[[Plači voljena zemljo]]'', the songs "Pesma za ostavljene" and "Zorica" on Vojo Terzić's ''[[Kraljica bez krune]]'', the title track and "Hey nevero" on Sveto Jovanović's ''[[Boem]]'', the song "Ranjeni lav" on Sveto Tulić's ''[[Prokleta žena]]'', and "Što me gledaš kad mi nedaš" for Dar - Mar's [[Dar - Mar (Album)|self-titled album]]. At Diskos, he wrote "Imala je oči" and the title track for Jane Kačar in ''I bogati plaču'', "Čekala me majka" on Božo Vorotivić's debut album, ''Nedam te!'', and "Ženama sam dušu dao" in Svemir Serdar's debut album ''Momak najbolji''. He would return to Nina Trejd and would work with Ličanin again in ''Će s'tobom biti'' where he would write "Jedna jela sa ličkoga prela" and "Otrov sam za žene" as well as write "Danijela" for [[Jadrino Jato]]'s [[Oj Krajino suzo moja|''Oj Krajino suzo moja'']].

In 1998, Baja would contribute to a few more more Lazarević Produktion albums: he was the lyricist of the title track and "Morao sam poći" on Lepi Mića's ''Svaka me zima na tebe sjeća,'' the title track, "Kesteni", "Nije život sto godina", and "Žena bogataša" for Božo Vorotović's ''Ko će da te čuva'' along with a reworked version of "Prvi put", and the songs "Idi, idi, drugoj", "Bila sam u zabludi", and "Duša ranjena" on Gordana Filipović's debut album, ''Ogledalo devojačko''. He would work on Miroslav Marić's ''Srce Skitnice'' as he wrote the songs "Ove noći si moja" and "Daleko u svetu". He would work again with Bora Drljača on the song "Plači mala plači" for his self-titled album as well as "Neka piju, nek' se biju" on Biljana Jevtić's ''Bogataš'', both released by ZaM. He would also work on three Nina Trejd albums: ''Vratiće se [[Danijela]], [[Idemo do kraja]],'' and ''[[Ličanin bez Like]]'' by Jadrino Jato, [[Braća sa Dinare]], and Borislav Ličanin respectively. He would write three songs for the former; "Vratiće se Danijela", "Lutalica" and "Ništa nije kao prije", and was the primary songwriter for the latter. He would write songs for Jadrino Jato again in the Renome album ''Stigla danijela'' in which he was the primary songwriter. ==== Departure from SuperTon (2000–2009) ====
During the 2000's, Baja's output began to slow drastically as the output he had at companies like Renome, Grand Production, and other labels during this era would not be nearly as much compared to his time at Nina Trejd and SuperTon.

In 2000, he would write for Novica Tekić's debut album, ''Plače nebo, plače Bog''. He wrote the songs "[[Dođi mala Romaniji gori]]" and "Ostavi me Čana" as well as adapting the title track "Motokultivator" for Miško Cvijetić in [[Motokultivator|the album of the same name]]. The latter would become one of Cvijetić's most popular songs. He was the primary lyricist in Božo Vorotović's ''Svi si odnela'' and Tromeđe's ''Pusto polje''.

In 2001, he would write the song "Razvedeni", though would not contribute to the title track of the follow-up of ''Motokultivator'', ''Primi me na kultivator''. He also served as the primary lyricist of ''Sve ću da razbijem'', another Jovan Perišić album that features a reworked version of "[[Dva kofera]]" as well as the primary lyricist of another Jadrino Jato album, ''Krajiško srce''.

In 2002, he was a primary lyricist for Grupa Principovi Potomci's ''[[Srpska svjeća]].''

In 2003, he wrote "Vraćam ti se Slavonijo" for Crni Biseri's debut album, ''Slavonijo moja''. He would also contribute to some Renome albums as he wrote the title track, "Nostalgija", and "Kad pjevaju krajiški bećari" for Krajišnici iz Futoga's ''Zemlja preko Drine'', was the primary lyricist in Ljubiša Kokiš's debut album ''Ljubav'', and wrote the title track and "Dođi brate" for the Jovica Mihajlović album, ''Vračara''. Baja was also the primary lyricist in Mišo Davidović's self-titled debut album, wrote "Neće grom u koprive" and "Ostala je čaša" for Nino's ''Opet onaj stari'' and "Moj brat je daleko" for Rade Lukić's ''Prvi momak''. 2003 would also be the last year Baja would use "Mirko Pajčin Baja" interchangeably with "Baja Mali Knindža" as he would drop the former entirely 2004 onwards.

In 2004, Baja and his cousin Lazo Pajčin would write for Prelidžije's ''Ode ode preko Drine vode'' and Karađorđe's ''Deset zapovijesti''. He wrote "Ti si mene već zaboravila" for Drljača's ''Stari vuk'' and "Devetnaest sati leta" for Mile Delija's ''Dobro jutro selo moje''.

In 2005, although Lazo would be the primary lyricist for Savo Radović's ''Nema dalje'', Baja would write the last track, "Čaša s vinom". This would mark the last year Baja was involved with Nina Trejd before its rebranding to Nidžo Music. In 2006, Baja would write "Lane" and "Bečke bauštele" for the Sinovi Manjače album ''10 godina sa vama''. The album also contains a cover of "Nema raja". In 2007, he would work together with his cousin again on the Plavi Anđeli album, ''Selo moje kraj Manjače'' and Grupa Jezero's ''Zavičaj je moje blago''. In 2008, he wrote "Nemam više ni druga ni tebe" for the Momo i Dodir album ''Ima dana...'' and worked with his cousin on another Grupa Jezero album: ''Nikad nije dosta''. In 2009, he would reunite with Gordan Krajišnik and wrote "Daljine plave" for the album ''Samo tako postaje se neko''. This would be the last time Baja would write for Nina Trejd (at the time rebranded to Nidžo Music Company).

==== Slowdown and subsequent hiatus (2010–present day) ====
In the 2010s to present day, Baja's songwriting for other artists was sparse as currently only eight songs have been written. In 2010, he wrote "Stojane, sine jedini" for the debut album of Krajiška Grupa Gubin, ''Evo braće''. Baja would not write any new songs for other artists for the next three years. In 2013, he wrote "Ništa nije kao prije" for the Žare i Goci album, ''Aj' na megdan!'' In 2014, he wrote "Dinara" and "Nemoj Ružo" for the Goci i Lazo album, ''Pozdravi mi Krajinu''. In 2015, he wrote "Lubav se ne kupuje" for Neđo Bobar's Ruka desna and "Daleko si rodni kraju" on Žare i Milenko's self-titled album. Baja would not write for another artist again for another three years. In 2018, he would write one more song for another artist. "Maštam o našoj sreći" would be written for Jovan Sekulović's album ''Anđele plave''.

As of 2024, Baja has not been officially credited for writing a song for another artist in six years, though factors such as poor documentation, the rise of digital media, and focus on his solo career as well as his personal life can be attributed to the lack of songwriting.

Hanka Paldum released her debut album ''Voljela sam oči nevjerne'' on February 13th 1974, When she was only 17 years old.

During the breakup of Yugoslavia, and particularly the Bosnian war, she spent her time living in Sarajevo,<ref>[https://avaz.ba/vijesti/intervju/363844/hanka-paldum-ratne-godine-provedene-u-sarajevu-bile-su-moja-obaveza-i-duznost Interview with Dnevni Avaz from December 17th 1995]''avaz.ba.''</ref> from where she still wrote music. In pre-war 1992 she would be openly anti-war and create a song called "[[Bosna je majka moja]]", in which she advocated for peace and unity between all ethnicities in Bosnia. When the war began, she would co-write and be featured in the music video for the war song "[[Patriotska liga]]", an anthem for a Bosnian paramilitary unit. In wartime 1992 she released the album [[Uzalud behari mirišu]] under the [[Embex]] label, which would not feature any patriotic material. The album's style, while not as disco-focused as Orkestar Pravoslavci, would still have some songs that are close in nature. The song "[[Ponoson sam što sam Srbin|Ponosan sam što sam Srbin]]" is a cover that originally appeared in the Neđo Kostić album ''[[Idu braća Krajišnici]]'', published the year before and written by [[Neđo Mitrović]].

''Idemo dalje'' was released in 1995, with the exact date not being known but a time window established. The songs were written at a time with very many and very fast territory changes in the war. The title track is of very happy nature and giving the tone that the war is nearly over with Serbia as the winner. He sings that Srebrenica has already fallen and that Žepa will too, giving that song a timeframe of being between the 11th of July 1995 and the 26th of July 1995. Track A4, "[[Vratićemo sve]]", already has a dramatic shift in tone as it sounds much sadder compared to the last three songs. Baja sings about territorial exchanges and that Krajina was "given away", he mentions the fall of Grahovo but also says that Knin should not give itself up. This gives "Vratićemo sve" a timeframe of the 28th of July and the 5tth of August 1995. Considering the time it takes to record, produce and duplicate an album, among other things, it can safely be assumed that ''Idemo dalje'' was released sometime in very early August 1995. The album was possibly even rushed to be released, when taking into account the lack of a double fold, which was present on all Baja albums since 1993's [[Rat i mir|''Rat i mir'']], the pictures for the front and back of the cover being reused from shoots as early as late 1994's [[Pobediće istina|''Pobediće istina'']] (hence the credit "choice of photographs" given to his wife, Meri, instead of a photographer being credited), the inclusion of a cover of "[[Ponosan sam što sam Srbin]]", the filler song, "[[Teče Drina]]" and the overall mood change present throughout the album, with some songs being more complex than others.

The song "[[Ponosan što sam Srbin]]" would be featured on the album ''Srpskim radikalima'' two years later and the title track would be featured in the compilation ''[[The Best Off]]'' the following year. The photo used for the j-card back would be repurposed six years later for the album, [[Đe si legendo|''Đe si legendo'']].

Due to the low quality cover and audio the official SuperTon channel uploaded and its remastered counterpart deriving from a third party, it is assumed that the master is currently lost or damaged. The company's upload of the remastered version is Generacide's fan remaster with the addition of fades. The cover image used in this version on digital streaming platforms removes the track listing and miscellaneous logos originally present on the cover. The reason for these changes are unknown.

The album is war-themed, with the exception of [[Loš učenik]] and [[Večiti mladoženja]]. Lyrically it is predominantly centered around the Krajina region, mentioning the uprising of Serbs in Knin, various villages in the Bosnian Krajina region, where Baja was born in and the Dinara mountain.

Multiple issues of the cassette have been found with varying cassette labels and cover elements. Due to the inconsistency of SuperTon's cassette label designs in 1994, it is hard to be sure as to which variant was released first.

''Panteri'' was released in 1993. It is rumored to have been distributed and produced by Renome due to similar cassette shells and labels used as well as overlapping staff. There are three known variants of the tape: two Yugo versions with a black shell and clear shell, and a Swiss version with a white shell with gold labels. The Yugoslavian variants of the album have the Garda Panteri logo whereas the Swiss variants lack them, although the Swiss variants are more common. Some distributions also feature a military post office stamp and some reissues, namely the Swiss ones, have a slightly misaligned print job of the front cover. These variants tend to have high audio quality.

Around the 2020's, NSA would upload the album digitally via Patreon until it was taken down in 2022. While the files had decent quality, they were at a noticeably slower speed. Two years after NSA's Patreon was taken down, RandomAtribute20k would release the album in higher quality.

In early 1992, [[Željko Grujić]] formed his own record label Nina Trejd to publish [[Baja Mali Knindža]]'s second album "[[Stan'te paše i ustaše]]" after a publishing deal with both Jugodisk and Jugoton fell through. Upon release it would become a big hit and allow Nina Trejd to be one of the few mainstream labels to publish patriotic material during the war.

Sometime between 2005 and 2008, Nina Trejd would rename itself to "Nidžo Music Company" and only publish a few releases before ceasing production.

Nina Trejd's YouTube channel would be created in the mid-2010s and have uploads of nearly all of their material on YouTube, as well as an expanded catalog on streaming services. In 2024 their uploads on streaming services would slowly be removed and in June, their entire channel was terminated for apparent copyright violations. It was reinstated later in the year.

After releasing the [[Sretno brate sretno rode]] album in October 1994, Jovanović released this album alongside "[[Neću suze]]".

In the same year, the album would also be released by the [[SDS Doboj]] label featuring a different j-card design and a different sponsor. The back of the j-card would also have a different layout, with any references to Nina Trejd being omitted and instead SDS Doboj is listed as the distributor and [[Milenko Gligorić]] as the Editor in chief.

This album features many other artists such as [[Perica Stjepanović]] and [[Sreten Dakić]], who both had their own wartime album releases. Although Jovanović's name is prominently displayed on the album cover, he only appears in 3 songs.

This page is dedicated to showcasing the rarest and most elusive media that emerged during the breakup of Yugoslavia found by members of the community. These recordings suffered from poor distribution in a time where tons of new albums were being released overnight or were created under extraordinary circumstances. This resulted in them being very hard to find in present day, as out of the limited copies sold, an even smaller number of them still exist today and are being sold second-hand.

While he was known to the community before, it was thought that Ljubiša Kalas only made one war album, called [[Ljubo Granata]], which was released by Master and [[RTVJ]] in 1993. With no records of any more war tapes released by Ljubiša, the discovery Vera pravoslavna was quite surprising for a few reasons. The label "РВ" (Cyrillic for "RV") is an unknown record label from which we have no other known releases. The catalogue number K 002 on Vera pravoslavna would imply it's the second tape released by RV, but no other tapes have been found. It's also not known where the tape was manufactured, as the cassette itself looks different to any other Yugoslav war tape found before it. However, the back of the J-card reveals the album was produced at the CFS "Košutnjak" Studio in Belgrade. It's also not known ''when'' the tape was released, but a handwritten date of December 23rd 1994 would suggest it was at released before that date.

Vera pravoslavna was acquired by Generacide in 2021, and it remains the only copy ever found.

The first album by the artist [[Slaviša Guja Slaja]] released in 1992. It is a very amateur release with two known copies currently in collector hands. The physical cassette features only simply printed strips of paper with the tracklist and no other identifying information. The back cover is also provides little information, most notably that all songs were written during wartime Žepa, while in military service. The VBC label itself is previously unheard of and has never been seen on another release, with the back cover also providing no information other than the logo.

Despite the tape's rarity, the songs became quite popular, even during wartime and especially on the internet with the uploaded music videos, most notably by Naša Srpska Arhiva.

''Otadžbina'' was released in 1992. While there is a label attached to the album: VBC, it is unknown if the company existed or not. With amateurish label design reminiscent of a standard label printer, handwritten serial numbers, a simplistic cover, and a two-man production team, it is speculated that the production was in-house with VBC being a placeholder/front. Initial prints have serial numbers on them and the cover slightly cropped. Reissues of the album are more evenly spaced but do not have a number sticker and is duplicated at a faster speed.

In 1993, Renome would produce a [[Otadžbina (VHS)|VHS]] for the album with a new track and an extended version of "Naša zemlja", though "Majke" would not be featured in the compilation. The reason for its exclusion is unknown and remains to be lost media.

According to a 2017 interview, the song "Moj grad" was one of the most popular songs Slaja made during his career in the 90's. Its message resonated with everyone as Herceg-Bosnian television would play the song. In the same interview, he states that while he looks back fondly at ''Otadžbina'', he would rather leave it in the past.<ref name=":0" />

The release itself is very obscure, as no label is credited for the release, with the only credits given being lyrics and arrangements to Perica himself and an unknown Voja. The cover design is also very basic, all pointing towards a self-released album. Two variants of the cassette have been found so far, with the assumend first issue being in a black, tiled shell, with a label design much closer to the j-card, a rights text in English and no track listing. The second variant features the same j-card, but is a gray translucent cassette with a yellow label. The label has the same design as mid-to-late 90s [[Getex]] cassettes, which were Yugoslav albums rereleased for the German market. Whether the label was purely lifted from a Getex cassette as a template, or rather a full German release is unknown.

No specific release year can be made out, but considering the song Živ je Veljko is a song commemorating Veljko Milanković, the release of the album lies between February 14th 1993 and the end of the war in 1995.

In modern times, "[[Srpska granata]]" would gain infamy on the internet and become a meme due to the Kocayine video "SERBIAN ARTILLERY IS LED BY GOD". It would end up being one of the more popular Yugoslav war songs.

The album is war-themed, with the exception of [[Loš učenik]] and [[Večiti mladoženja]]. Lyrically it is predominantly centered around the Krajina region, mentioning the uprising of Serbs in Knin, various villages in the Bosnian Krajina region, where Baja was born in and the Dinara mountain.

Multiple issues of the cassette have been found with varying cassette labels and cover elements. Due to the inconsistency of SuperTon's cassette label designs in 1994, it is hard to be sure as to which variant was released first.
